Hints I found to make the busy Working Mom's life a little easier:
- Mom Tricks
- Claim your purse back!
- Keep all things baby in a pouch that fits in your purse. Then you can easily convert your from mom purse back to classy chic purse.
- I got this hint from Mrs. Gentry
- I also use ziplock bags for baby wipes. I find wipes dry out with those plastic wipe cases. The ziplock bags keep the wipes moist forever (at least I haven't had any dry out yet) and are inexpensive.
- Saving $$$
- Toys
- Instant Purse
- I gave those fake credit cards that you get in the mail for credit card applications and an old purse of mine to Teagan. Voila. She loves it.
- Resources
- Simple and Delicious
- A recipe magazine I love! It has simple and delicious recipes. They use a few number of ingredients you normally keep in your house. Its cheap ($10/year). I love that every month I'm handed a new list of easy recipes so dinner is never boring.
- Family Fun
- Another magazine. This one is full of fun crafts and activities to do with your children. I'm hooked!
- Milk Memos
- A must read for any pumping working momma. This book includes stories and advice for working moms. You don't need to pump (breastfeed) to enjoy it. I laughed out loud so many times.
- The Happiest Baby on the Block
- This book saved our sanity! Teagan was a sensitive baby (cried a lot) and this book helped us calm her like no other advice did. There is a DVD, but I read the book. Its a quick read.
- Parents as Teachers
- PAT is a program where an educator teachers you (the parent) how to be a teacher. It has improved Teagan's progress and has made Bret and I better and more confident parents.
