Well Vegas was a bust! I either got food poisoning or some sort of stomach bug and spent most of the weekend in my hotel room. Very lame. I'm SO glad to be home and to be back with my little girl!
I've traveled for work once before and had to leave Teagan. But this was much harder. Work travel was during the week so I still had my weekend with her. I live for the weekends where I get to spend all day with my little girl. Even if we're running errands or going to this event or that, we're still together. Now I had to wait two weeks before I got a full day with her. Plus with my work travel, the hubby was with Teagan. He would send me texts, picture texts, and emails of Tea. We would video chat everyday. I loved that. Last weekend Teagan was with her grandparents, who aren't as attached to their smart phones or computers like we are. This time we had one phone call a day and Teagan isn't quite the conversationist yet. I missed the visual connection with my baby.
Any advice from parents who travel without their babies? I asked that question on my facebook page before, but no one responded. That hurt. I felt like I'm a bad mommy for traveling. I know you're out there.
All weekend I anticipated how Teagan would react to see us. I was waiting at home for Grandma to come over with her. I arrived home only about 10 minutes before they came over. But it felt like an eternity. When the doorbell rang, I ran to it and pulled the door open. Teagan just stared at me and gave me a funny straight face. Hmm...not the reaction I dreamed about. She came inside the foyer and her daddy appeared at the top of the stairs. Teagan squealed a little girl squeal and ran to him. He got a big old hug. What? Where's my hug? (Just had to step away from blogging. I left the bathroom door open and I heard splashing sounds. Baby girl went exploring in the toilet. Disgusting. Funny. Hands washed. Back to blogging). I'll let the hubby have his glory. We all know, I get many more "Mommy is best" moments. :)
I know my blog is lacking. Give me time. I'm actually a techie person. It'll be pretty one day. But here are some pictures to dazzle you with.
